Restrictions on use following the earthquake that occurred on March 16, 2022 (update May 10)

The earthquake that occurred on the night of Wednesday, March 16, 2022, caused three lathes to topple over and machine tools to move at our center. We are currently working hard to restore operations, but we have no choice but to restrict the use of some equipment. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.

  • Lathe:
Currently, only 3 Lathe(USL-6) is available (as of May 10, 2022).
If it is being used, please use the large machine located in front of the machining room. If you are using the large machine for the first time, please ask a staff member to explain its operation. Since at least two of the three overturned lathes are expected to be beyond repair, this operation may continue for about a year. We ask for your cooperation in efficient operation, such as by spreading out the use of the lathes over a period of time.

Milling machines, Metal Cutting Band Saw, Drill press, Band saw, surface plate, and other equipment are available for use as usual.
